Terms and conditions
Terms of sale of the A Co To online shop at acoto.ooo, valid for orders placed from 29 October 2026
§ 1 Who we are and what these terms cover
- The A Co To online shop at acoto.ooo is run by Lucyna Ludwiczak, a sole trader doing business as "A co to Lucyna Ludwiczak", entered in the Polish business register (CEIDG), ul. Fiołkowa 12, 62-030 Luboń, Poland. Tax ID (NIP): 7773132782. EU VAT number: PL7773132782. In these terms she is called "we" or "the Seller".
- You can reach us by email at lucy@acoto.ooo, by phone at +48 696 766 760 (Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00 Polish time, at your operator's normal rates) or by post at the address above.
- These terms explain how to order, pay and receive your order, and what rights you have. They apply to orders placed from 29 October 2026. Earlier orders follow the terms that applied when they were placed.
- You can read, save and print these terms free of charge on this page at any time, including before you order.
- A "consumer" is a natural person who buys for purposes not directly connected with their trade, business or profession. The consumer rights in these terms also apply to a natural person running a business in Poland who buys for that business, if the contract shows that the purchase is not of a professional nature for them, in particular in view of the business activity listed in their CEIDG entry.
- The texts, photos and graphics on acoto.ooo are protected by copyright. Please don't copy or use them without our permission.
§ 2 What we sell
- The Travel Box is a travel activity box for one child, packed by hand in Poland. It holds toys and activity products made by other manufacturers, which we choose for the child's age band, the world (theme) you pick and the notes you give us. The child's first name goes on the box.
- The main features of each box, such as the age bands, the number of activities and example contents, are described on the product pages and in the order form. Photos show example boxes: the exact items depend on the age band, the world and your notes.
- Extras you can add: the return-trip refill (a second set of activities for the same child, packed together with their box), the travel backpack (handmade, chosen by colour, not personalised) and express packing (we pack the order on the next working day).
- You can also choose "Send as a gift" free of charge (see § 10).
- "Working days" in these terms are Monday to Friday, except public holidays in Poland.
§ 3 How to order and when the contract is made
- You order through the order form (the box builder) on acoto.ooo. You don't need an account.
- The steps are: (1) for each child, enter their first name for the box, their age and the world; (2) add the trip details and any extras; (3) choose the delivery country and method, and enter your name, address or pickup point, email and mobile number; (4) click the pay button, which takes you to the secure Stripe payment page, choose how to pay and confirm the payment there.
- Before you pay, you see a summary with the boxes, extras, the delivery fee and the total price including VAT. Until you confirm the payment you can go back and correct anything in the order form, and change your details on the payment page.
- The information on our website is an invitation to place an order. When you confirm the payment on the Stripe payment page, you place a binding order with an obligation to pay.
- The contract of sale is made when we confirm your order by email. We send this confirmation as soon as your payment goes through. With payment methods where the money arrives later (for example Multibanco), the contract is made when the payment reaches us and we confirm the order. If the payment doesn't arrive by the deadline shown on the payment page, the order lapses and no contract is made.
- If we can't accept an order (for example because the address is outside our delivery area), we tell you by email and refund any payment in full without delay.
- The contract is made in the language of the website version you order in. We keep your order details in our order system and with Stripe. You receive them by email, and we'll send you a copy of your order and of these terms at any time if you ask.
§ 4 Prices and payment
- Prices are in Polish zloty (PLN) for delivery to Poland and in euro (EUR) for delivery to all other countries. You always pay in one currency only.
- All prices include VAT. VAT is charged at the rate of the delivery country and worked out at checkout. The total shown before you confirm the payment is the final price you pay.
- The delivery fee is shown before you pay. It depends on the delivery country, the delivery method and the size of the parcel (the number of boxes and refills). You pay one delivery fee per order.
- We charge nothing beyond the total shown. If your account or card is in another currency, your bank or card issuer may charge its own conversion fees.
- You pay in advance through Stripe, a payment service provider with its European company in Ireland. The payment methods offered depend on your country, for example cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, BLIK or Multibanco. We never see your full card details.
- If you pay with a method such as PayPal or Klarna, that provider's own terms also apply to the payment.
- Discount and referral codes work under the conditions shown with the code (for example first order only, once only, or until a date). You can use one code per order. Codes can't be exchanged for cash.
- We make refunds to the payment method you used, unless we agree on another way with you. Refunds cost you nothing.
- If you need an invoice, write to us and we'll issue one.
§ 5 Delivery
- We deliver to Poland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
- We don't deliver to Cyprus, Malta or outside the EU, or to areas outside the EU VAT area: the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, the French overseas departments, the Åland Islands, Mount Athos, Heligoland, Büsingen, Livigno and Campione d'Italia. If you enter such an address, we cancel the order and refund you in full.
- The delivery methods and carriers for your country are shown in the order form: in Poland InPost parcel lockers and InPost or DPD couriers, in some countries InPost International pickup points and lockers, and DPD courier delivery to your door in every country. We send parcels through Apaczka.
- We pack every order within 3–5 working days after payment, or on the next working day with express packing. Delivery then usually takes 1–2 working days in Poland and 2–7 working days in other countries. Before you pay, we show you an estimated arrival date.
- Unless we agree otherwise, we deliver no later than 30 days after the contract is made.
- If we don't ship an express order on the next working day, we refund the express fee.
- If your order is late, you can ask us to deliver it within an additional reasonable time. If we don't, you can terminate the contract and we refund everything you paid without undue delay. If you told us before ordering that delivery by a certain date was essential (for example because of your departure date) and we miss it, you can terminate the contract straight away.
- We bear the risk of loss or damage until you, or someone you name other than the carrier, receive the parcel or collect it from the pickup point or locker.
- If the parcel looks damaged, please take photos and, if you can, report the damage to the courier or at the pickup point, then write to us. This helps us deal with the carrier faster, but your rights don't depend on it.
- If a parcel comes back to us because it wasn't collected or couldn't be delivered, we contact you to agree on what happens next, for example sending it again for a new delivery fee. If the problem was on our or the carrier's side, the new delivery is free.
- Collecting orders in person isn't possible.
§ 6 Personalised boxes: no right of withdrawal
- A consumer who buys online can usually withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. By law, this right does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (Art. 38(1)(3) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014, implementing Art. 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU).
- Each Travel Box is put together for one particular child, based on what you tell us: their first name is put on the box, and the items are chosen for their age band, the world you pick and your notes. The return-trip refill is packed for the same child together with their box.
- For this reason, once the contract is made, you can't withdraw from it for the Travel Box or the return-trip refill, and they can't be returned or exchanged just because you changed your mind.
- This does not affect your rights if a box is faulty, incomplete or not as described (see § 8), or if delivery is late (see § 5).
- The travel backpack is not personalised. You can withdraw from its purchase within 14 days, as described in § 7.
- Express packing is a service for the box and isn't refunded separately, except as described in § 5. The gift option is free.
§ 7 Withdrawing from the purchase of the travel backpack
- You have the right to withdraw from the contract for the travel backpack within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the backpack.
- To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (A co to Lucyna Ludwiczak, ul. Fiołkowa 12, 62-030 Luboń, Poland, phone +48 696 766 760, email lucy@acoto.ooo) of your decision to withdraw from the contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. We confirm receipt of your withdrawal by email without delay.
- You can also withdraw from the contract for the backpack online, using the "Withdraw from contract" function linked in the footer of every page of acoto.ooo. If you use this option, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of your withdrawal, with its content and the date and time it was sent, on a durable medium (by email) without undue delay.
- If you withdraw from the contract for the backpack, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you for the backpack, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. The delivery fee is not refunded when you withdraw only from the backpack: it is the same with or without the backpack (it depends only on the delivery country, the delivery method and the number of boxes and refills), so no part of it was paid for delivering the backpack.
- We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the backpack back or you have supplied evidence of having sent it back, whichever is the earliest.
- You shall send back the backpack or hand it over to us at A co to Lucyna Ludwiczak, ul. Fiołkowa 12, 62-030 Luboń, Poland, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal to us. The deadline is met if you send back the backpack before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the backpack.
- You are only liable for any diminished value of the backpack resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
- Model withdrawal form (complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract): To A co to Lucyna Ludwiczak, ul. Fiołkowa 12, 62-030 Luboń, Poland, lucy@acoto.ooo – I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract of sale of the following goods: travel backpack. Ordered on (*)/received on (*): ... Order number: ... Name of consumer(s): ... Address of consumer(s): ... Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper): ... Date: ... (*) Delete as appropriate.
§ 8 Faults and complaints
- We are responsible to you for delivering goods that conform to the contract, even when the box is personalised. This legal guarantee of conformity lasts at least 2 years from delivery, or longer where the law of your country gives you more: it covers any lack of conformity that exists at delivery and becomes apparent within that period (Directive (EU) 2019/771 and Chapter 5a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act). A lack of conformity that becomes apparent within 2 years of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless we prove otherwise or this is incompatible with the nature of the goods or of the lack of conformity. Any other rights that the law of your country gives you stay with you too.
- If something is faulty, damaged, missing or not as described, you can ask us to repair it or replace it, for example by sending the missing or faulty item or a new box. We may replace instead of repairing, or repair instead of replacing, if the option you ask for is impossible or would cost us disproportionately more than the other.
- You can ask for a price reduction or terminate the contract if we refuse or fail to repair or replace the goods, if the problem comes back, if it is so serious that it justifies this straight away, or if it's clear that we won't put it right within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience to you. You can't terminate the contract for a minor lack of conformity.
- Putting things right is free for you. We pay for sending back faulty goods and for sending repaired or replacement goods. Often a photo is enough and you don't need to send anything back.
- To complain, write to lucy@acoto.ooo or send a letter to our address. Please give your name, the order number, what's wrong and, if you can, a photo, and tell us what you would like us to do. We confirm receipt of every complaint by email without delay.
- We reply to your complaint in writing (by email, or by letter if you prefer) within 8 days of receiving it. If we don't reply within that time, your complaint is treated as accepted.
- If you are entitled to a price reduction or terminate the contract, we refund you without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your statement.
- We don't give a separate commercial guarantee. Our "Happy Trip promise" is a voluntary gesture on top of your legal rights. It doesn't replace or limit them.
§ 9 Product safety and supervision
- The boxes contain toys and activity products made by other manufacturers. We only use products that may be sold in the EU, with the CE marking where it is required, and we choose items whose manufacturers mark them as suitable for the age band you pick.
- Please choose the correct age for each child. Don't give a box packed for an older child to a younger one.
- Before giving an item to a child, read and keep the warnings and instructions that come with it. The safety information for our products, including the manufacturer and the warnings, is also on the product pages.
- Boxes for older children may contain small parts. These can cause choking and must be kept away from children under 3 years. Keep packaging and any small pieces away from younger brothers and sisters too.
- Children should play with the box under the supervision of an adult, who checks each item and its warnings before handing it over and makes sure the activity suits the place, for example in a moving car or on a plane. This advice doesn't limit our responsibility for the safety of the products.
- If you notice a safety problem or an accident happens with one of our products, please tell us straight away. If a product we sold you turns out to be unsafe or is recalled, we will contact you using the details from your order.
§ 10 Sending a box as a gift
- With "Send as a gift", we leave the prices out of the parcel and add a card with your message.
- You remain the buyer and the party to the contract, and the rights under these terms belong to you. If something is wrong with a gift, the recipient can also write to us directly and we will help.
- By giving us the recipient's name, address and phone number, you confirm that you may share them with us. We use them only to deliver the parcel, as described in our privacy policy.
- Please don't write anything unlawful or offensive in the gift message. We may contact you to change such a message before we pack the order.
§ 11 Free services on our website
- On acoto.ooo we also provide free services by electronic means: the order form, which keeps your unfinished order in your browser, the FAQ with an AI assistant that answers questions, trip reminders and "let me know when you deliver to my country" sign-ups, the review form and, if you agree or don't object, emails with tips and offers.
- To use them you need a device with internet access, an up-to-date web browser with JavaScript and browser storage turned on, and an email address for services that send emails.
- The contract for each of these services starts when you begin using it and ends when you stop. You can stop at any time, free of charge, for example by leaving the page or using the unsubscribe link in an email.
- Please don't enter anything unlawful or anyone else's personal data in notes, questions, reviews or messages.
- The FAQ assistant answers automatically using AI, based on our own information, and can make mistakes. What counts are the product pages, the order summary and these terms.
- You can complain about these services in the same way, and we reply within the same time, as described in § 8.
§ 12 Resolving disputes out of court
- If something goes wrong, please write to us first. We want to put it right.
- If we can't agree, you can use free out-of-court help. In Poland this includes mediation and the Permanent Consumer Arbitration Court at the Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection in Poznań (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej w Poznaniu) and municipal or district consumer ombudsmen. The list of Polish out-of-court bodies is at polubowne.uokik.gov.pl.
- If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can help you free of charge with a dispute with a seller from Poland (European Consumer Centres Network, ECC-Net; in Poland, see konsument.gov.pl). You can also turn to the consumer ADR body of your country, which may accept the case. Your European Consumer Centre or national consumer authority can tell you which body that is.
- Taking part in an out-of-court procedure is always voluntary for you, and voluntary for us unless the law that applies requires us to take part. If the dispute isn't resolved by our reply to your complaint, we will tell you in that reply which out-of-court body is competent and whether we agree to take part.
§ 13 Governing law and courts
- These terms and our contracts are governed by Polish law.
- If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection given to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of that country (Art. 6(2) of the Rome I Regulation (EC) No 593/2008; in Denmark, which is not bound by that Regulation, Art. 5 of the 1980 Rome Convention on the law applicable to contractual obligations).
- As a consumer you can bring a claim against us before the courts of your country of residence or of Poland. We can bring a claim against you only before the courts of your country of residence (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012). For cross-border claims up to EUR 5,000 you can use the European Small Claims Procedure (Regulation (EC) No 861/2007). It isn't available to consumers living in Denmark.
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law. If a provision of these terms conflicts with such law, the law applies instead.
§ 14 Changes to these terms
- We may change these terms for important reasons, such as a change in the law, new products, delivery or payment methods, or changes to our website services.
- Changes don't affect orders already placed: each order follows the terms that applied when it was placed.
- For ongoing services, such as emails with tips and offers, we tell you about changes by email at least 14 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can stop the service at any time free of charge.
- How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
